You think you have an entrepreneurial idea?
Compete in the third annual Bright Ideas Competition. Get your team together and complete the application form and submit it online.
This year's prize pool is $1500 (cash + professional services).
The application is MINIMAL! Just answer a few questions related to your idea. Teams are restricted to 4 or less members, consisting of undergraduate students only. Students from all post-secondary institutions are welcome to participate.

The top 6 teams will present in the Final Round of the Bright Ideas Competition on April 8th, 2010.

VSEA open meeting
Looking to get involved with student entrepreneurship or simply want to check out what we do? Come check out the VSEA open meeting on Monday. You will get the chance to meet our VSEA exec team prior to the meeting, and following the meeting is an optional workshop on "networking & approaching organizations for partnership". Our featured speaker is David Helliwell, CEO of Pulse Energy, Inc. Trained as a GeoPhysicist at Harvard and received his MBA at the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées in Paris, Mr. Helliwell is presently dedicating his full effort in marrying innovative technologies and creative mathematical analysis to help companies and institutions, such as UBC, to reduce as much as 30% of their existing energy consumption. In the upcoming seminar, titled “How to build a Clean Tech company in 4,295 Easy Steps,” he will share with us his insights on using powerful economical and financial incentives reduce 30% of world’s environmental problems.
